I’m The Invincible Joy Rebel, and I made the words on this website.
If you found this, you have a book, and you decided to search online for me. I’m not here, though. Some words I wrote are here, but I’m not here. If you’re reading this, you’re here right now. You can turn off this website, and go talk to your book.
If you’re wondering if the book is real, if you have one in your hands, then you have your answer. If you’re wondering if the magic really works, read the inscription.
If you ran out of pages, and need to make a new book, and you’re wondering if that’s okay, read the inscription.
If you've got big questions about life, talk to the people around you. If the people around you aren’t safe, you can find the people who are safe. You can find your community. You can make a community. You’re not alone. I believe in you.
If you’re wondering if you should hurt yourself, or someone else, the answer is no.
If you’re thinking of hurting yourself, call this number right now - 1-800-273-8255.
If your parents, your spouse, someone close to you is hurting you?
Call 1-800-621-HOPE and talk to someone safe.
If you’re being bullied, no matter how much it feels like it’s about you and there being something wrong with you, I’m sorry, it’s worse, it’s not about you at all. You’re the target because the person bullying you doesn’t feel good about themselves, or has some other kind of problem. They’re lashing out, because lashing out and hurting someone else makes them feel a little better while they’re doing it.
You don’t have to help them, even though they need help.
You don’t have to be hit, belittled, or made to feel small.
You don’t have to listen to them.
Whatever they’re saying about you, they’re wrong.
Their words only become real if you believe them, and they’re lying to you.
You can rise above it if you want.
You don’t have to rise above it if you don’t want.
You don’t have to do anything other than survive it.
And you can survive it. You absolutely can.
You can also chose to do more than just survive, but thrive.
You can carve out any space you want, to help yourself feel.
Each day you’re here is a win for the entire world.
If someone is angry with you, and you did something awful, and you know you did something awful but you’re trying to pretend you didn’t, just so you can say you’re being bullied and deflect from those feelings, you’re hurting yourself, and you’re hurting the people around you. Let it go.
If you're bullying people, you may be experiencing attention deficit disorder, attention deficit hyperactive disorder, depression, or anxiety. You may be abused at home. You may just think you enjoy it. Maybe you were bullied, and decided to become like the people who tormented you. Whatever the reason, making someone else feel small or bad, doing so with a crowd of other people, may temporarily make those awful feelings subside. But they're going to come back, and they're going to get worse. Bullying others is running from your problems, and spreading the hurt out. The only way to feel better is to deal with your problems.
If you’ve got other questions, talk to your friends.
If you don’t have any friends, go find friends.
If your friends are bullies and you’re worried about being the target of the bullying, those aren’t your friends, that’s a group of incredibly anxious people who can’t talk to each other in a real way - and they need help. You don't have to help them.
If you believe you can’t find real friends, I don’t think that’s a true story. Remember, you’ve always got the book to talk to if you need it. You can find your community. You can make a community. You’re not alone. I believe in you.
If you’re wondering if people are worth it, of course they are, because you’re a people. If you’re wondering if you’re worth it, of course you are, because you’re a people. You’re worth it. You always have been, and always will be. I believe in you.
If you found this online and you don’t have a book, it’s okay. Write and share anyway.
Whoever reads this, no matter what you or anyone else says, you’re worth it.
